ANKARA /TASS: Negotiations on the implementation of the project to build the second nuclear power plant in Turkey are in progress, a spokesman of the Turkish Energy Ministry told TASS.
“We cannot furnish any specific information at this stage. Yes, negotiations on this topic continue [with Russia]; they have not ended. This is a lengthy process and it is underway for a long time so far. There are no data about any final decisions,” the spokesman said.
Turkey will allocate the second site for the construction of a nuclear power plant in the country, CEO of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev said. This would most probably be the “Sinop” site on the Black Sea, the chief executive said.
